Can you install the appliance if the existing electrical connection is not suitable?
Yes, but additional electrical work may be required first. We check the connection, circuit protection and available capacity before installation and explain what needs to be changed if the existing setup is not suitable.
Do induction hobs and ovens always need a dedicated circuit?
Not always, but many higher-power appliances require a suitable dedicated supply or specific circuit capacity. The appliance rating and the existing installation must be checked before connection.
Can you replace an old appliance with a new one using the same connection?
Often, yes, but only if the existing connection, circuit and protection are suitable for the replacement appliance. We verify this before reconnecting the new unit.
What happens if the new appliance requires more power than the old one?
The existing circuit may need to be upgraded, or a new circuit may be required. We assess the appliance load and available capacity before installation so the connection is not overloaded.
What is not included in a standard appliance installation?
Cabinet modifications, plumbing work, ventilation ducting, major rewiring and appliance repairs are normally outside the standard electrical installation scope unless specifically agreed beforehand.
