Can you replace my existing thermostat with a smart thermostat?
Often yes, but compatibility depends on the heating system, electrical load, wiring and temperature sensor. We check the existing installation before recommending a replacement.
Will a new thermostat work with my existing floor sensor?
Not always. Floor sensors can have different specifications, so the existing sensor must be checked for compatibility with the new thermostat. In some cases, the sensor may also need to be replaced.
Why is my floor heating not getting warm enough?
The cause may be the thermostat settings, floor sensor, heating cable, electrical supply or another fault in the installation. We can test the thermostat and relevant electrical components to identify the problem.
Can I control the heating from my phone?
Yes, with a compatible smart thermostat. Depending on the system, you may be able to adjust temperature, create schedules, use away modes and monitor the heating through an app.
Do I need a separate thermostat for every room?
It depends on how the heating system is divided into zones. Separate thermostats allow individual temperature control in different rooms, while some installations use one thermostat for a single heating zone.
What do you need to know before giving me a price?
We normally need to know what heating system you have, the current thermostat model, whether a floor sensor is installed, the approximate heating load and whether you want a standard or smart thermostat. Photos of the existing thermostat can also help.
